Galveston City Council Veterans Day Ceremony

This morning the Galveston City Council held a special meeting to recognize and honor all veterans.

The ceremony included a color guard, poem, proclamation, and wreath placement.
At 11:00 a.m. the crowd observed a minute of silence. Taps was then played to mark the end of the minute of silence.
The meeting was adjourned and Mayor Jaworski left to place the wreath at Galveston's veteran's memorial located at 23rd Street and Broadway.
