Holiday Forest Offers a Chance to Decorate, Vote for Favorite Tree
Beaumont - The City of Beaumont and the Greater Beaumont Chamber of Commerce invite everyone to celebrate the holidays Downtown from Thursday, Dec. 2 through Sunday, Dec. 5, at Beaumont’s Ninth Annual Christmas Holiday Festival & Parade.
This year’s festivities will include the annual street parade and lighted boat parade, holiday-themed shows at downtown venues, a free children’s holiday party, free outdoor movie, and the Main Street Market, hosted by the Beaumont Junior League.
New this year, businesses, groups and individuals have the opportunity to participate in the Holiday Forest by entering a tree in the Christmas Tree Decorating Contest. On Thursday, Dec. 2, citizens will be able to walk through the forest and vote for their favorite tree by ballot during the voting period, 4-7 p.m. The winner will be announced on Saturday, Dec. 4, before the start of the street parade.
“I encourage everyone to come out and celebrate the holidays Downtown this year,” said Mayor Becky Ames. “I’m particularly excited to see the entries for the Holiday Forest, which is new this year, and of course, we are all looking forward to another great lighted boat parade.”
