Guiseppe (Joe) ArcidiaconoGuiseppe (Joe) Arcidiacono, 81, of Galveston, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2010.


The family will receive visitors after 5:00 pm, Monday, November 29th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.  A vigil service will conclude the evening at 6:30 pm.


Graveside services will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, November 30th, at Calvary Catholic Cemetery with ________ officiating.


Joe was born January 11, 1929 in Port Bryan, New York.  He worked as a shrimper for most of his life but retired as an operator for the grain elevator.


Joe was preceded in death by his daughter, Giovannina Arcidiacono; and wife, Elena Arcidiacono.


He is survived by his daughter, Lena Sifuentes and husband, Jesse; grandsons: Josef Aaron Sifuentes and wife Maribel Sifuentes and Jesse David Sifuentes and wife Carly Sifuentes, and great-grandson Ian Sifuentes; brother, Sam Arcidiacono and wife, Tina, sister, Josephine Arcidiacono; sister-in-law, Josephine Arcidiacono; brothers-in-law, Bartolo and Guiseppe Palumbo and family of Sicily; and numerous nieces and nephews.


Pallbearers will be Sam Arcidiacono, Nunzio Arcidiacono, Joe Patane, Gilbert Sifuentes, and David Sifuentes.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jesse Sifuentes, Jr., Josef Sifuentes, and Jesse Sifuentes, III.
