Verlin J. Brittlebank

Verlin J. BrittlebankMrs. Verlin J. Brittlebank, 80, received her reward of eternal rest on Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital.

Verlin was born April 24, 1930 in Amsterdam, Guyana. She was a former resident of Linden, Guyana, where she was a former nurse and retired director of Linden Day Care Centers. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband, William Brittlebank.

She is survived by her sons: Howard Brittlebank and Herbert Brittlebank; daughters: Joy Brittlebank-Washington, Jean Langevine, Jacqueline Brittlenbank and Vanya Allicock; grandchildren: Anton Allicock, Michael Moseley, Roscoe Lewis, Jewel and Joelliane Langevine, Yule, Kezia, Judi, Tirzah (TJ), Cassandra, Jean,  Kenan, Jemima, and Jeremiah Brittlebank; brother: Nordie Harris; sister-in-law: Rachel Harris; mother in law of Daune Brittlebank, Lawent Langevine, Charmayne Brittlebank and the late Anthony Washington; nephews: Lennox, Handley Harris; cousins: Shelia Mc Gregor and Olga Pierce; devoted friend: Yvette James; host niece nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2010, from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM, followed by funeral service at 11:00 AM, at Christ Church AOG, (1401 Bay Area Blvd. Houston, TX 77058) with Pastor Bob Jones officiating.
