John F. O'Rourke, III
Malloy & Son Funeral Home

John F. O’Rourke, IIIJohn F. O’Rourke, III, 57, passed away quietly in Galveston after a brief illness.  He was born April 22, 1953 and was a graduate of Ball High School.

 

John was preceded in death by his father, John F. O’Rourke, Jr.  He is survived by his mother, Constance B. O’Rourke; son, Bryan O’Rourke and wife, Rebecca, of Galveston; daughter, Kelly O’Rourke of Houston; sister, Jacque Negrotto and husband, Barry, of New Orleans, LA; brother, E. L. “Ted” O’Rourke and wife, Charlotte, of Galveston; granddaughters, Brooke O’Rourke and Madison Alcala, of Galveston; nephews, Sean O’Rourke, Michael O’Rourke, and Brandon Ray; nieces, Melinda Ray and Brittany Ray; aunt, Rose O’Rourke; and cousins, Susan Sailsbury, Cheryl Day, Randall Gould, Michael Bliss, and Mary Lynn Tahaney.

 

John’s family will receive visitors beginning at 5:00 pm, Wednesday, December 15th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.  A rosary will be held at 6:30 pm.

 

Funeral service will be 1:00 pm, Thursday, December 16th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock.

 

Pallbearers will be Barry Negrotto, Sean O’Rourke, Michael O’Rourke, Randall Gould, Bob Salisbury, and Rocky Vaiani.  Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Lyon, Mason Cagnola, Ronnie Palmer, Michael McClenan, Michael Bliss, Charlie LaSalle, Brandon Ray, David (Flo) Flores, Larry Capiano, Bobo Conde, and Mario Flores.

 

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Hospice Care Team for their loving care of John.

 

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
