Marion Fehse Taylor

Marion Fehse TaylorMarion Fehse Taylor, 88, of Galveston, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2010, at her residence.  She was born May 11, 1922, in Queens, New York.  Marion received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Columbia University, graduating with the class of 1944.  She married the love of her life, Robert N. Taylor, on January 6, 1945, and after 3 years of living in New England, the couple moved to Texas.  Marion worked as a registered nurse throughout her life and enjoyed taking care of others.  She was exceptionally outgoing and never met a stranger.  She was well loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

Marion is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert N. Taylor; daughters, Nancy Lynn, Sally Taylor, Judy Taylor, and Mimi Giesen; sister, Norma Zettler; and grandchildren: Chris Lynn, Michael Lynn, Eleni Tountas, Ben Wollam, and Natalie Giesen.

A celebration of Marion’s life will be held at a later date.

Marion’s family wishes to extend special thanks to her caregivers, Tennille Handy, Gloria Brown, and Roderick Carroll for their loving, compassionate, and much appreciated care.
