The holiday season is in full swing at the City of Pasadena. Here’s a list of Christmas events coming up this week:

Monday, Dec. 20

Winter FilmFest – Come to the Pasadena Public Library and enjoy a free, family-friendly movie during the Winter FilmFest. All movies will be shown at 10:30 a.m. in the children’s room at the central location of the library (1201 Jeff Ginn). Monday’s movie will be “A Christmas Carol.”

VIN Etching – This is the last date for this free program! The Auto Crimes Unit is offering VIN etching, in which an automobile's unique 17-digit Vehicle Identification Number is etched onto its glass, for free at Hooters (5455 Sam Houston Pkwy.) from noon until 4 p.m. VIN etching has been shown to be a highly effective measure in helping to prevent vehicle theft and can also increase the odds of the vehicle's recovery if it is stolen.

Medicare and You (informational meeting) – Seniors are invited to come and learn about Medicare and get all of their questions about the program answered at this free meeting. It starts at 2 p.m. at the Madison Jobe Senior Center (1700 E. Thomas).
