Catherine A. Carrague Saenz

Catherine A. Carrague SaenzCatherine, 93, entered into eternal rest December 28, 2010.

Born September 22, 1917 to John and Elizabeth Carrague, Catherine was a native Galvestonian.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great, great grandmother.

Catherine worked for McCory’s, American National and National Hotels until her retirement. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Elizabeth and Helen; one brother, John, Jr.; husband, Michael Saenz; and her only daughter, Anna Jean (Jeannie Saenz) McGehee.

Survivors include her son, Gary L. Saenz; grand children, Debbie, Mike, Janet, Barbie, Cathy, Gary Jr., and Anthony; 9 great grand children; 2 great, great grand children; one sister, Anna Marie Elliott; two special nieces, Ginger Blythe and Bonnie Orr; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Special thanks to Becky and Denise, friends and caretakers.   Also, special thanks to Gulf Health Care and Hospice Care Team.

Catherine will be laid to rest at a graveside service led by Father Maynard Tetreault at Calvary Catholic Cemetery on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 1:00 pm.

Casket bearers will be her family, Mike McGehee, Gary L. Saenz, Jr., Anthony Saenz, George Hatch, Billy Persky and Gary L. Saenz.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either The Hospice Care Team, 1708 N Amburn Rd # C, Texas City, TX 77591-2489, or to Gulf Health Care: 3702 Cove View Boulevard, Galveston, TX 77554-8013.
