The Metropolitan Transit Authority Board of Directors today voted unanimously to establish contracts for federal and state legislative consulting services with the C2Group and Robert Strausser Consulting. The contract with C2Group is not to exceed $185,000; and the contract with Strausser is not to exceed $345,000.
“Today’s special board meeting was really to launch this effort because everybody knows the legislative session starts next week,” said METRO President and CEO George Greanias.
Because it was the first meeting of the year, the board approved a resolution electing board officers and appointing members to standing committees of the board. Elected to another year as chair, Gilbert Garcia announced that the standing committees will continue with the same board members as chairs: Capital Programs, Burt Ballafant; Customer Service, Jimmy Stewart; Government and Public Affairs, Carrin Patman; and People, Allen Watson.
Watson was reelected vice chair of the board of directors and Stewart was reelected secretary.
All other agenda items were approved. All votes were unanimous with all members present. Agenda
