HOUSTON, Texas – Investigators with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Cold Case Unit need the public’s help in solving a 33-year-old capital murder.

On Tuesday, July 12, 1977, at approximately 9 p.m., Steven Dillow was seen leaving the Golden Cue Pool Hall in northeast Harris County (its exact location is unknown). Mr. Dillow, 24, was found stabbed to death in the 7000 block of FM 1960 East the following day. His truck was found a short distance away.

No photo of the victim is available.

Anyone with information about the killer(s) in this case is asked to please contact Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS (713-222-8477) or the HCSO’s Cold Case Unit at 713-967-5911.

This is one of several cold cases that the HCSO is featuring every week in hopes of gathering new information that may help solve them. For many of these cases, there is very little information, so investigators are relying solely on the public’s tips.
