Friendswood Police Activity January 9 through 16, 2011

Driving While Intoxicated

   January 16 (3:45 a.m.) - Katrina Reynaud, 33, of Heritage Park was charged with DWI. Reynaud was observed driving erratically in the 4600 block of FM 2351. She failed a field sobriety test and refused to submit to a breath test. Officers received a search warrant through Harris County and Reynaud was taken to an area medical facility for a blood draw.

   January 15 (1:07 a.m.) - Kevin Milstead, 25, of Alvin was charged with DWI. Milstead was stopped for a traffic violation in the 100 block of W. Edgewood. He failed a field sobriety test and refused to submit to a breath test.

   January 15 (12:02 a.m.) - Marcus Hammock, 36, of Houston was charged with Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle and felony DWI. Hammock was observed driving erratically in the 100 block of E. Edgewood. He refused to stop for officers until the intersection of FM 2351 and IH-45. He also refused to submit to any form of testing. Due to previous convictions, he was transported to an area medical facility for a mandatory blood draw. 

January 13 (11:20 p.m.) - Rafael Lopez, 26, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Possession of Marijuana. Lopez was stopped for a traffic violation in the 1500 block of W. Parkwood. He failed a field sobriety test and refused to submit to a breath test. During an inventory of the vehicle prior to arrest, officers found a small bag of marijuana in the car.

   January 9 (11:30 p.m.) - Freddy Sanchez-Nieto, 25, of Pasadena was charged with DWI. Sanchez-Nieto was stopped for a traffic violation in the 4400 block of FM 2351. He failed a field sobriety test and registered .219 on a breath test.

January 9 (1:58 a.m.) - Ronald Burns, 49, of Friendswood was charged with felony DWI. Burns was stopped for a traffic violation in the 1200 block of S. Friendswood Drive. He failed a field sobriety test and submitted a blood sample for testing. The charge was filed as a felony due to prior convictions.

Narcotics

   January 15 (1:49 a.m.) - Matthew Garza, 19, of League City was charged with Possession of Marijuana. Garza was observed skateboarding in the roadway in the 16500 block of Forest Bend Avenue in Wedgewood subdivision. He admitted to being in possession of the drug. 

 January 14 (9:46 p.m.) - Brandon Crenshaw, 22, of Friendswood was charged with Evading Arrest, Resisting Arrest and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Crenshaw was observed riding a bicycle in the middle of the road in the 200 block of Stadium in Kingspark-Whitehall subdivision. When officers tried to stop him to speak with him, he fled on the bicycle into a nearby ballpark and then on foot. Officers were able to catch up to him and attempted to take him into custody but he wrestled with officers trying to handcuff him. Once officers were able to place handcuffs on Crenshaw, he was found to be in possession of Ecstasy and Xanex.

 January 13 (2:34 a.m.) - Andrew Lailhengue, 19, of Texas City was charged with Possession of Marijuana. Lailhengue was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in the 3600 block of FM 528. He admitted to being in possession of the drug.

   January 12 (1:45 a.m.) - Joshua Flores, 36, of Houston was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. Flores was stopped for a traffic violation in the 3300 block of Friendswood Link Road. During questioning, he placed the car in gear and attempted to drive away. The officer was able to stop him and take him into custody. During a search of the vehicle, the officer located methamphetamine crystal. The passenger was charged with Public Intoxication.

   January 10 (1:56 a.m.) - Donald Eppolito, 47, of Pearland was charged with Public Intoxication and Possession of Marijuana. Eppolito was observed loitering in the parking lot of a closed business in the 100 block of E. Edgewood Drive. He exhibited signs of intoxication and was detained. During an inventory of his vehicle prior to towing, officers located marijuana.

   January 10 (1:17 a.m.) - Jacob Hixenbaugh, 25, of League City was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. Hixenbaugh was stopped for a traffic violation in the 500 block of E. Parkwood Drive. Hixenbaugh was found to be in possession of hydrocodone without a prescription.

Theft

   January 12 (10:10 p.m.) - Chelsea Holloway, 21, of Friendswood and Michael Deats, 26, of Pasadena were charged with Theft. Holloway and Deats were observed leaving HEB, 701 W. Parkwood without paying for a cart full of groceries.

    January 12 (9:31 a.m.) - Copper wiring was reported stolen from a home under construction in the 2300 block of Taylor Sky Lane in West Ranch subdivision.

    January 12 (8:16 a.m.) - A Kubota excavator was reported stolen from a construction site in the 1600 block of W. Parkwood. The orange and black excavator was last seen January 7.  

   January 10 (8:52 a.m.) - Two street signs were reported missing. The signs identify the streets at the intersection of West Boulevard and Falcon Ridge Boulevard in West Ranch subdivision.

Burglary

   January 11 (5:23 p.m.) - A device used by realtors to unlock key boxes on residences was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in a driveway in the 400 block of Trail View Way in The Forest subdivision. The theft occurred on January 8 while the car was unlocked and the windows were down. The device had been left in plain view.

   January 11 (1:46 p.m.) - A television, laptop computer, game console and electronic games were reported stolen during a burglary in the 5100 block of Coventry Court in Wedgewood subdivision. A door was damaged to gain entry to the home.

   January 10 (3:13 p.m.) - Several apartments were burglarized at The Enclave at Quail Crossing, 5000 Watkins Way. A gun, shotgun, cameras, game consoles and games were among items stolen from the apartments. Doors were damaged to gain entry into the apartments.

Vandalism

   January 15 (10:46 a.m.) - A resident of the 1100 block of Londonderry in Glenshannon subdivision reported that a landscaping boulder had been thrown onto her car, damaging the hood and the windshield. The damage had been discovered the previous day.

  January 11 (10:00 p.m.) - An employee of Friendswood Health Care Center, 215 E. Heritage Dr., reported finding a tire slashed on her car when she left work.

Miscellaneous

   January 16 (3:53 a.m.) - Melissa McCoy, 27, of Alvin was charged with Failure to Identify- Fugitive. McCoy was stopped for a traffic violation in the 1800 block of W. Parkwood. She initially provided the officer with a false name. When she provided her true name, officers found that her driver's license was invalid and that she had warrants through League City PD.

Fraud/Identity Theft

   January 16 - Resident reported the use of his credit union debit card information to make unauthorized purchases in California. The resident still had possession of the card. He advised officers that he uses it online in conjunction with his Paypal account.

   January 12 - Resident reported sending a check with an employee to purchase supplies. The check was signed and made out to the company providing the supplies. When the check cleared the bank, the resident noted that it had been altered to reflect the employee's name.

   January 11 - Resident reported the unauthorized use of his credit union debit card at several Houston locations. The resident still had possession of his legitimate card and told police he uses it to pay bills and make online purchases.

  January 9 - Resident reported the unauthorized use of his bank debit card information at two grocery stores in Cypress. The transactions were "card swipes". The resident still had possession of his legitimate debit card.
