The Hitchcock Independent School District Board of Trustees on Tuesday voted 4-2, with Dianne James and Tom Ivey opposed, to approve Permanent School Fund applications related to the issuance of school building bonds.
The school board voted unanimously to set February 1 for the summative evaluation and contract review of Superintendent Michael Bergman.
The school board voted unanimously to approve the annual financial audit of the district for the period ending August 31, 2010.
The school board heard a presentation by the Joiner Partnership regarding plans for a new high school. No action was taken on the item.

During the meeting, the school board presented the Above and Beyond Citizen Award for December 2010 to Jerome Cargile, and the award for January 2011 to Charlotte Greineisen.
