INVESTIGATORS SEEK INFORMATION ON 1982 MURDER
HOUSTON – Investigators with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Cold Case Unit need the public’s help in solving a capital murder from 28 years ago.
On Saturday, July 24, 1982, Howard Gillespie was found dead inside his apartment at 550 Normandy in East Harris County. He had been stabbed. Mr. Gillespie’s car was stolen, but was later found abandoned in Pasadena, Texas. Mr. Gillespie, 54, was last seen alive entering his apartment with two males and a female. These individuals were described as:
White male
5'10", thin build
White male
6'1", thin build
Beard, trimmed all around
White female
Blonde hair
