The College of the Mainland Board of Trustees on Monday voted 5-2, with Nick Stepchinski and Rosalie Kettler opposed, to name Rod C. Fluker as the college’s Vice President for Enrollment and Student Success.

The college board voted unanimously to name Eric Goins as communications coordinator.

The college board voted unanimously to name Angela Dampeer as Human Resources Director.

The college board discussed, but took no action, regarding the 2011 bond election notice. The bond election is currently schedule for May 14. However, some of the board discussed rescheduling the bond election to November. The college is seeking voter approval for an $86,173,555 bond issue for new buildings and renovations of existing facilities.  Report

The college board voted unanimously to name Andrews Kurth law firm as the college’s legal counsel for matters related to redistricting.

The college board took no action regarding a professional services contract for a demographer in relation to redistricting.

The college board voted unanimously to authorize the purchase of Suite 13 in the Appomattox Square office center. The item was discussed during an executive session.
