League City – During the Monday, January 24, 2011 Clear Creek ISD Board of Trustees meeting, Houston City Councilman Mike Sullivan delivered a signed proclamation from Mayor Annise Parker, declaring the month of January as CCISD Board of Trustees Appreciation Month. 

“Our board works many volunteer hours to make sure the children of CCISD receive a world class education,” said Superintendent Greg Smith, Ph.D., “We owe them a debt of gratitude for their commitment to hard work and making tough decisions.”

Campuses across Clear Creek ISD are using their marquees to show their appreciation of the board as well. One example at Stewart Elementary in Kemah reads: “CCISD Board of Trustees Thanks for helping us soar!” The mascot of Stewart Elementary is a seagull.
