FIRST CITIZEN’S CONSTABLE ACADEMY

GOAL STATEMENT

The goal of the academy is to provide the Citizen Student with knowledge that will dispel suspicions and misconceptions and increase rapport using the education process.

The Citizens Constable Academy (CCA)is designed to give the citizens of Galveston County a general knowledge of the operations of a Constables Office. The course will consist of eight (8) classes. Each week a variety of topics will be covered by various deputies/officers.

The courses will cover many diverse topics such as civil, warrants, sex offenders, gangs and more. The course has particular emphasis on what we do daily. The instruction phase of the course will consist of lectures, demonstrations and hands on practice.

If anyone is interested in attending or wants information please contact Constable Pam Matranga’s office at 281-316-8806. 

First academy starts March 3, 2011 and runs every Thursday night from 6:30pm to 9:30pm at the Bacliff Community Center located at 4500 10th Street Bacliff Texas.  We are taking applications and there is limited seating.  We welcome and encourage all Galveston County citizens to attend.
