Naomi Lorraine AdamsNaomi Lorraine Adams, 82, of La Marque, Texas, died January 31, 2011, at home surrounded by family and friends.

Born in Galveston, Texas, July 29, 1928, to the late Arthur and Olga Parr, Lorraine was a long time resident of Galveston.  Lorraine graduated from Clear Creek High School, in 1945 and St. Mary’s School of Nursing in 1948.  She loved nursing and worked almost 20 years as a Registered Nurse at UTMB. Later in her career she worked in Public Health Nursing both for the City and County of Galveston. 

Lorraine was preceded in death by her son, Michael Dale Adams.  She is survived by her husband of 62 years Dallas Raymond Adams, her children, Terri Goodwin and husband, Tommy; Daniel Adams and wife, Kristie; and Rebecca Katic and husband, Alain; grandchildren: Mitchell Dibble, Kacie and Kristopher Adams; and Tristan and Aislinn Katic; great grandson, Jaiden Dibble; brothers, Kenneth N. Parr and wife, Marian; and Ralph N. Parr and wife, Claudia; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Lorraine’s family will receive visitors from 5:00 until 7:00 pm, Friday, February 4th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home in Galveston.  The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 5th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster.
