Lynchburg Ferry Closing Until Risk of Icing Passes
Harris County Precinct Two Commissioner Jack Morman has announced that the Lynchburg Ferry will close beginning at 2:00 p.m. until the risk of icing on the boats, landings and the roads leading to the Ferry has ended.
“We anticipate that conditions will require the Ferry to remain closed through Friday. We will continuously evaluate the Ferry operation based on safety first and will begin service again as soon as weather conditions allow,” Commissioner Morman said.
Alternate routes crossing the channel include the Fred Hartman Bridge, the Beltway 8 Bridge and the Washburn Tunnel.
