Timothy was born February 20 , 1952, in Galveston, TX. He attended public school in La Marque and was a 1970 graduate of Lincoln High School and later joined the U S Navy. He was a plant operator at Gulf Chemical, and also was a carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Freddie and Hulishous Bell; sister, Sherry Lynn Dancer; uncle, Leroy Caldwell.

He leaves with precious memories, his wife, Callena Singleton; sons, Cal Jerrod Bell, Darnell and Carnell Bell; daughter Timesha Bell (Sharm); grandchildren, Gabrille and Calleah Garner, Sharmya Saldana-Sowery,  Darnell, Jr., Timari and DeAsja Bell I; sisters, Janice Thomas  (Jay), Yolanda Thomas, Thyra Mayeaux (Timothy) and Wanda Bell ( who passed away Feb.2); aunt, Hortense Caldwell; host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be begin at 9AM on Saturday, February 5, 2011, followed by  a service celebrating his life at 11:00 a.m. at the Rising Star Baptist Church with Pastor D.N. Benford officiating. Burial will be held Monday, February 7, 2011, at 11:30 am in the Houston National Cemetery.
