Composite Sketches Released in Fatal Shooting at 8730 North Houston Rosslyn

Houston police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying two suspects wanted in the fatal shooting of a man at 8370 North Houston Rosslyn about 3:20 a.m. on Jan. 31.

Composite sketches of both suspects are posted.  The suspects are described only as two Hispanic males.  The shooter (left) is in his 20s, about 6 feet tall, 250 pounds with a distinctive large scar on his inner left forearm.  The other suspect (right) is in his 20s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall with a thin build.

The victim, Luis Arturo Martinez, 22, suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants K. Tolls, C. Cegielski, J. Brooks and Officer T. Andrade reported:

Patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the La Pantera Bar at the above location and found Mr. Martinez deceased inside the business.  Further investigation determined there had been an argument between two groups and Martinez, a security guard at the bar, went inside to investigate.  At some point, shots were fired and Martinez was struck and died at the scene.

Anyone with information on the identities of the suspects is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
