Emma Lee Yarbrough, 89, received her reward of eternal rest on Saturday February 5, 2011 at UTMB.
Emma was born May 25, 1921 in Brazoria County, TX, where she also attended school. A pioneer of sort, Emma she went to Barbers School, worked as a Unit Clerk and later became a RN at UTMB. She also was a Teacher at Carver Elementary, Boy Scout leader, church secretary and musician for several churches in Galveston.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sons, John and Charlie Yarbrough.
Emma leaves with precious memories, her daughter, Aleitha Lynn Sykes (Robert) of Galveston; son, Howard Hall, Jr. of Bailey Prairies, TX; devoted granddaughter, Mandi Yarbrough; and numerous other grandchildren, relatives and friends.
A service celebrating her life will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 11, 2011, at West Point Baptist Church with Pastor Kerry W. Tillmon officiating.
