The Hitchcock Independent School District Board of Trustees on Tuesday voted 5-1-1, with Dianne James opposed and Pat Turner abstaining, to approve the reimplementation of corporal punishment as a discipline technique.
The school board voted unanimously to move forward the bid process for the construction of an awning at Hitchcock Primary School. The item was approved if the cost is less than $20,000.
