DOWNTOWN DISTRICT REPAIRS TO IMPACT RAIL SERVICE 

METRORail service will be partially suspended this weekend, Feb. 19-20, 2011, due to street repairs in the Downtown District.  Rider Alert

WHEN:     From Saturday, Feb. 19 at 5:30 a.m. to Sunday, Feb. 20 at midnight

WHERE:   No rail service between the Downtown Transit Center and
                  UH-Downtown stations

WHY:       To allow for Downtown District street repair

During the shutdown, customers will be served by “rail shuttle” buses running parallel to the rail line every 10 minutes. The shuttle bus stops are located adjacent to the rail line station stops. 

There will be regular rail service between the Fannin South and Downtown Transit Center stations.

Normal rail service will resume Monday, Feb. 21.
