This morning’s Port Coordination Team (PCT) conference call was the 10th day in a row.
National Weather Service reported this morning that the cold front has moved through the area and brought dry air eliminating fog conditions. There is some fog lingering off-shore but no visibility issues near shore.
Clear conditions are expected for the remainder of the week. There may be fog conditions Saturday but for less than 24 hrs.
Houston Pilots moved 56 vessels yesterday and moving 23 vessels this morning with another 17 vessels still waiting for a pilot. 16 departures have been completed this morning.
GalTex Pilots moved 37 vessels yesterday and have cleared the backlog.
Freeport has no back log.
Sabine Pilots started to move wide body vessels at 0800 this morning. There were 24 vessels awaiting inbound transit and 2 waiting to depart.
Important note to agents: Please remain in close contact with pilots dispatchers on the status of specific vessel movements. With the heavy vessel movements forecasted to address backlog, agents are reminded to make sure ENOA’s are updated and current.
