HOUSTON — College and university students nationwide are invited to submit original completed or in-progress work in all disciplines to University of Houston-Clear Lake’s 17th annual Student Conference for Research and Creative Arts by March 7, for inclusion in the conference event scheduled for April 20 – 22 in the university’s Bayou Building, 2700 Bay Area Blvd., Houston, 77058.
“The primary goal of the conference is to provide an opportunity for students to present their original work in a professional format and to be evaluated by professionals in their fields,” said conference director Michael Hunt, who also teaches psychology at the university. “They will also have the chance to network with other people working in their discipline.”
Multiple presentations are welcome and all students are encouraged to apply. Submissions can be works in progress. Meritorious presentations will receive official recognition. Registration is $20 for four participants/authors and $5 for each additional participant.
The conference, which will include poster and oral presentations, will be held in various locations throughout the university’s Bayou Building. All poster presentations will be on display in Atrium II while oral presentations will take place in assigned classrooms. Other activities will be held in the building’s Garden and Forest Rooms.
