Linda Mary Geraldine Trott RoyLinda Mary Geraldine Trott Roy, 85, of Galveston, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2011, at her residence.

Her family will receive visitors from 5:00 until 8:00 pm, Tuesday, March 8th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 9th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Wehner officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Lakeview Cemetery.

Linda was born May 31, 1925, in Bedford, England, to Stella and Joseph Maddox.  She met and married Samuel Trott during World War II.  Linda was the owner of Galveston Upholstering Company and a resident of Galveston since 1968.  She was a member of Quota International, having served several terms as President, as well as holding the office of Past Secretary Treasurer of District 21 Quota.  Linda was also a charter member and Past President of the Galveston Lioness Club.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles and gardening.

Linda was preceded in death by her husbands, Samuel Trott and P. M. Roy; and brother, Joseph Maddox, of Bedford, England.  She is survived by her son, Tony Trott and wife, Julie, of Melbourne, FL; granddaughters, Elaine Fischer and husband, Brad, of Barrington, IL; and Sandra Trott, of Houston, TX; great grandchildren: Devon Leach of Houston, TX; and Bradley, Stephanie, and Shelby Fischer, all of Barrington, IL; former daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Patterson and David Lawson; and several other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Trott, Joel Simon, David Lawson, Steven Swanner, Ernest Vincent and Jerry Vincent.  Honorary Pallbearer will be Jesse Clay.

Those who wish may make memorials in Linda’s name to the Galveston Island Humane Society.
