Brazoria County Commissioners Court on Thursday voted to amend a December court order regarding appointments to the Houston-Galveston Area Council's Transportation Policy Council and the Technical Advisory Committee.
Commissioner Matt Sebesta, Jr. will be primary voting member and Commissioner Larry Stanley alternate member to the Transportation Policy Council. County Engineer Gerald Roberts was appointed primary voting member and Assistant County Engineer Kevin Sherrod alternate to the Technical Advisory Committee.
The commissioners court voted to approve an interlocal agreement with the Houston-Galveston Area Council and the City of Alvin to define 9-1-1 answering point boundaries for the Alvin area.
The commissioners court voted to authorize an application to the H-GAC for funding through a 2012 grant from the Criminal Justice Division of the Office of the Governor of Texas. The grant will fund additional equipment for the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office.
