San Jacinto College
College to host business and logistics conference

HOUSTON – San Jacinto College (SJC) will host the fifth annual International Business and Logistics Conference offering students, educators, and area business people networking opportunities.

The event will take place in the Monument Room at the Slovacek Student Center located on the SJC North campus, on Tuesday, April 5 from 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and will include breakfast. The North campus is located at 5800 Uvalde Road in the North Channel area.

There will be keynote speakers throughout the day discussing topics of vital importance to employees and employers. Speakers will include Jamie Shull representing the U.S. Coast Guard; Kathleen Nance, President of Tri Star Freight Systems; Marian Ladner, an internationally known trade attorney; and Lynn Fallik, assistant director of field operations for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. An estimated 180 international business and logistics leaders, including executives, officers, directors and employees from major companies in the greater Houston area will attend the conference. Students from colleges and high schools will also attend.

Conference speakers will provide updates on current and future issues and opportunities for companies involved in international trade and maritime industries.
