HOUSTON – Investigators with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Cold Case Unit need the public’s help in solving the 1987 murder of a Katy-area real estate agent.
On Friday, November 6, 1987, Ester Collins was working as a sales representative for Standard Pacific Homes. At approximately 4:15 p.m., Mrs. Collins was found bound and stabbed to death inside a model home at 22307 Kent Falls Dr. in the Cornerstone subdivision. Ms. Collins, 35, was the mother of two.
Anyone with information about the killer(s) in this case is asked to please contact Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS (713-222-8477) or the HCSO’s Cold Case Unit at 713-967-5911.
This is one of several cold cases that the HCSO is featuring every week in hopes of gathering new information that may help solve them. For many of these cases, there is very little information, so investigators are relying solely on the public’s tips.
