INVESTIGATORS SEEK TIPS IN 1993 MURDER

HOUSTON – Investigators with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Cold Case Unit need the public’s help in solving the 1993 murder of a woman in northwest Harris County.

The victim is 30-year-old Dawn Braunagel.

She was last seen at about 2 a.m. leaving Hoppers Bar on Highway 6 North on Saturday, October 23, 1993. Braunagel was seen getting into a four-door gray sedan with a male.

The following day, Ms. Braunagel was discovered dead at  6500 Petropark Dr. in northwest Harris County.

Anyone with information about the killer(s) in this case is asked to please contact Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS (713-222-8477) or the HCSO’s Cold Case Unit at 713-967-5911.

This is one of several cold cases that the HCSO is featuring every week in hopes of gathering new information that may help solve them. For many of these cases, there is very little information, so investigators are relying solely on the public’s tips.
