EMERGENCY ROADWAY CLOSURE ON IH 45 AT N. MAIN

(Houston) – TxDOT is assisting the Houston Police Department with an accident on IH 45 North northbound at N. Main, which is closed due to an overturned 18-wheeler.

All IH 45 northbound traffic in downtown Houston is currently being detoured to IH 10 eastbound or westbound until crews can clear the scene. To relieve current congestion the HOV lane is open to all traffic.

Initial estimates for the closures are two to three hours. Motorists are strongly encouraged to avoid the area.
