Street Closure Announcement: Neches River Parade

Beaumont, Texas – The City of Beaumont will close a number of streets on Saturday, April 9, to accommodate the Neches River Parade. Closures will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. The parade travels down Calder into downtown. Intersections along the route will be blocked temporarily as the parade moves.

The parade will impact the following streets:

·        Calder Avenue to Wall Street on Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway. Traffic will be detoured to Laurel Avenue and Liberty Avenue during the closure.

·        Broadway Street, Oakland Street, Ewing Street, Bonham Street, Crockett Street, Bowie Street, and Fannin Street.

The area will be open to local traffic only. Motorists are asked to be aware of all detour signs and advance warnings, and travel with caution.
