Rev. Adrien S. Johnson

Rev. Adrien S. JohnsonRev. Adrien S. Johnson,  47, received his heavenly call from labor to reward on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Conroe Regional medical Center.

Adrien was born January 7, 1964, in Houston, TX to A.S. Sr. and Faye Johnson. He attended school in Galveston where he graduated in 1982 from Ball High School. He later attended Sam Houston State University, where he received a BA in Communication, he also pledged Alpha Phi Omega Fraternity. He also attended University of Houston.

His Christian journey began at an early age under the leadership of his father, Rev. A.S. Johnson. He was continuously feed and nurtured through the spiritual love and care given to him by his father. He would accept his call into the gospel ministry, and at the age of 25, was called to his first church, Greater Mt. Zion in Brazoria, TX. He later planted a seed in the birth of the Ark of the Lord Community Church in Houston, TX and was presently serving as pastor of the Lone Star Baptist Church in Trinity TX. He also held many positions within the local associations and state convention.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Faye Dean Johnson-Mobley; stepmother, Ula Johnson; and sister, Annette Johnson.

He leaves cherished memories with his wife, Patreese Mack Johnson; son, Kyrian Hawkins; father, Rev. A.S. Johnson (Thelma); brothers, Apostle Andrew Johnson, Jr. (Henerietta), twin brother, Pastor André Johnson (Giselle), Bishop Kevin Johnson (Danyale),  Arthur  Johnson (Pamela); sisters, Brenda Johnson, Jackie Pipkins, Patrice Sloan, Andrunelle Johnson; Godchildren, Desiree Pipkins, Tamere Johnson, Ke’terra Smith, Ayden DeBose; best friend, Jonas Brinkley; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, his Lone Star Church family, and many friends.

A service of remembrance will be held on today, April 10th from 6-8PM at Jerusalem Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, April 11, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Gtr. St. Matthews Baptist Church in Hitchcock, TX, W.L. Randall Pastor, Rev W.H. King III officiating and Pastor A.S. Johnson eulogist.
