Ralph H. Mizell
Malloy & Son Funeral Home

Ralph H. Mizell, 74, of Crystal Beach, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at UTMB Hospital.


A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, April 15th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.


Ralph was born November 27, 1936, in Charleston, South Carolina.  He served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and spent his working career as a licensed electrician with IBEW Local #716 in Houston.  Even in retirement, Ralph was well loved in Crystal Beach for his electrical expertise.  He could often be found fishing and also enjoyed playing golf.


Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn and Herbert Mizell; son, Ralph H. Mizell, Jr.; and half-brothers, Ernest and Eddie Mizell.


He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Beverly Mizell; daughter, Lillian Ballard and husband, Melvin; granddaughter, Tiffany Ballard, all of Crystal Beach; brother, William Mizell and wife, Maribeth, of St. Helena Island, SC; beloved dog, Charlie; and numerous other relatives and many, many friends in Crystal Beach.
