The Hitchcock Independent School District Board of Trustees on Tuesday voted unanimously to approve a one-year contract extension with Chartwells for food service management.

The school board issued a proclamation in observance of Teacher Appreciation Week.

The school board discussed, but took no action regarding the Hitchcock High School Dance Team.

The school board met in executive session to discuss the employment of new professional employees for the 2011-2012 school year. No action was taken on the item.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. Trustees Pat Turner, Ted Robinson and Shirley Price were absent.  Agenda
