Brazoria County Commissioners Court on Tuesday voted unanimously to appoint members to the Brazoria County Citizen Redistricting Advisory Committee.

Members appointed to the committee were Tonya Visor, Steve Davis, Jesse Hibbetts, Rudy Santos, Ann Geissen and Cathy Hughes.

The committee will provide community input to the commissioners court regarding the redistricting process.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reappoint Trey Picard to the Gulf Coast Centers Board of Trustees.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reappoint James T. Floyd, Gerald Mitchell and David P. Walker to the Gulf Coast Center for Galveston County Board of Trustees.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to appoint Juan Longoria, III to the Water For Our Future Board.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to approve a Sustainable Communities Consortium Memorandum Agreement with the Houston-Galveston Area Council.

The consortium is “a broad group of entities representing regional diversity required to develop a regional plan for sustainable development in the 13-county Houston-Galveston region”.

The commissioners court took no action regarding a housing contract with Tim Johnson, a park employee.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reject an offer for the purchase of tax foreclosed property. An offer of $5,000 had been made for property at County Road 461.

The commissioners court voted unanimously to reject a $100 offer for the purchase of tax foreclosed property previously owned by Tristar Exploration, Inc. The minimum bid at the sale of the property was $2,812.

The commissioners court issued a proclamation in recognition of the National Day of Prayer, which is observed on May 5. The theme for this year’s day of prayer is “A Mighty Fortress Is Our God”. Proclamation

The commissioners court issued a proclamation in recognition of Soil and Water Stewardship Week, which is observed April 26 through May 1.

All other items were approved by unanimous vote. All members were present.  Agenda
