Dope Dealers Arrested
Jeffrey Gordon Ivarson, 40, of League City, and Melissa Anne Lauman, 32, of Alvin were both charged with a variety of narcotics charges resulting from a traffic stop in the 200 block of W. Parkwood Avenue around 7:15 p.m. on Wednesay, April 27, 2011. Ivarson was identified as the driver, who had multiple suspensions listed on his driver's license. Ivarson was driving his passenger, Melissa Lauman, to the Friendswood Municipal Court for a court appearance. She also had a suspended driver's license for previous narcotics violations.
Ivarson was taken into custody for Driving while License Invalid. He informed the officer that he was currently out on bond for a Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine) charge through Galveston County where he was found to have 11 grams of methamphetamine. Lauman was then interviewed and observed to have "track marks" on her arm. During the conversation, Lauman told the officer that she had just smoked some methamphetamine. The officer then searched the vehicle and found paper hanging from behind the dashboard. The officer removed the plastic housing and first found a syringe and then saw a black cloth bag. The bag contained four bags of methamphetamine with a combined total weight of 17.2 grams, a bag containing MDMA (Ecstasy), a bag containing Adderall, a bag containing Alprazolam (Xanax) and another bag containing marijuana. Other narcotic paraphernalia were also found. It was obvious from the packaging that the drugs were intended for dist ribution.
Jeffrey Gordon Ivarson is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with intent to deliver Penalty Group 1 (Methamphetamine), Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2 (Adderall), and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2 (MDMA). His bonds total $250,000.
Melissa Anne Lauman is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance with intent to deliver Penalty Group 1 (Methamphetamine), Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2 (Adderall), and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2 (MDMA). Her bonds total $90,000. Lauman has recent methamphetamine arrests - one on April 16 (6 grams of methamphetamine) and last October 13 (2.2 grams of methamphetamine).
