Three More Surrender, One Still Wanted From Gambling Indictments
Galveston County Sheriff’s detectives are still searching for the last of a group of defendants tied to illegal gaming investigations in the Bacliff area.
Three defendants surrendered last week on charges of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity in connection with investigations at the “Lion’s Den” and “Seven Seas” game rooms, both of which were in Bacliff and have since been shuttered.

Derrell Don Fortner, 44 (left), and Julietta Munoz, 31 (right), both of Kingwood, and Michael Gilpin, 31, of Houston (below right), all surrendered to authorities last week.
Fortner faces two counts of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity, while Munoz and Gilpin each face one count. All posted bond and were released from the Galveston County Jail.
Jimmy Clark States, 27, remains at large. He is wanted on one
charge of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity. States last reported address was in Dickinson.
