Edwin Gerald "Pooh" Dickison
Fields- Johnson Family Mortuary

Edwin Gerald "Pooh" Dickison, 46, of Galveston departed this life on Thursday, May 12, 2011, at his residence. Edwin was born on October 3, 1964, to Edwin Gerard, Sr. and Charity Dickison. He was a 1983 graduate of Ball High School and was employed with O’Reilly Auto Parts as a Delivery Technician. He was a person who enjoyed being around people in the community.

Edwin is preceded in death by his father, son: Edwin Dickison, Jr.; and grandparents, Jesse and Laura Dickison.  He leaves with cherished memories, a daughter: Madison Nimer; his mother: Charity Boulet; brother: Edwin Gerard, Jr.; sisters: Pamela Hennigan (James) and Rhonda Williams (Marc); uncle: John Dickison (Matilda); aunts: Vandella Dorsey and Elizabeth Dockery (George); special friends: James Priestly (Penny) and John Black; and a host of nieces and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will begin at 4PM on Thursday, May 19th, followed by a wake from 7-8pm in the chapel of Fields- Johnson Family Mortuary. Service celebrating his life will be held Friday, May 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at  Compton Memorial COGIC (2628 Ball) with Elder R.E. Woodard III officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
