City of Pasadena
News Release
Thursday, May 19, 2011

On Thursday, May 19 at 6 P.M., the Pasadena Office of Emergency Management will be conducting a test of the siren system across our community after recent upgrades were made to the system. Volunteers from the Citizen's Police Academy will evaluate the coverage, functional performance and overall effectiveness of the City's 15 towers.

Our sirens are regularly tested on the first Thursday of each month;  however, this is an additional test that is not part of our regular testing schedule. The sirens will sound for approximately 30 seconds. Residents do not need to take any action.

For more information, contact the Pasadena Office of Emergency Management at (713) 475-5588
