College of the Mainland Foundation will host its 2011 Mainland Heroes Gala on Thursday, May 26 from 6 to 9 p.m., in the College of the Mainland Gymnasium.  The Gala will include a reception, dinner, silent auction and presentation of the 2011 Mainland Heroes. Tickets are $45 per person and Sparky Koerner’s Jazz Express will provide the entertainment. 

The 2011 Mainland Heroes are Mitchell Dale from Dickinson; Emken Linton from Texas City; Rev. D.N. Benford, Sr. from La Marque; Sharon Free from Santa Fe; and Fred Newhouse.  These Heroes are local individuals who have distinguished themselves in our community through philanthropy and community service.
