Galveston ISD Board of Trustees

The Galveston Independent School District Board of Trustees on Wednesday voted 6-1, with Norman Pappous opposed, to approve a plan to redraw boundaries for the board's representative districts.

Approval of Plan “C”, which had been selected as the best plan for balancing populations in each of the board's seven representative districts, had been postponed last week after receiving requests from area organizations to further review the plan.

The plan was approved with no additional changes by the board.

No other action items were on the agenda. All members were present.
