“I think this is an example of our strategic priority of becoming a trusted community partner,” said METRO President and CEO George Greanias.  “We are very pleased about this.  We also are not going to stop with this effort; we want to see this expanded to other government entities in the region, including the county, and we think that’s a real possibility.”

The board voted to extend a contract with Atser, L.P., increasing the contract amount from $1.25 million to $2.782 million.

The board voted to approve a $75,000 contract with Andrews Kurth as disclosure counsel for the issuance of bonds and contractual obligations.

The board voted to approve a contract with Tommie Vaughn Motors for the purchase and delivery of five Motorist Assistance Program vehicles in an amount not to exceed $123,495.

All other agenda items were approved.  All votes were unanimous.
