Beaumont Foundation of America awards two scholarships
Three more to be awarded in August
BEAUMONT – The Beaumont Foundation of America, as part of its mission of assisting the underserved, provided a grant to Lamar Institute of Technology in the amount of $36,000.
This grant is being used exclusively to continue to fund three Public Service and Safety scholarships in honor of C. Edward Keller and two process operating technology scholarships in honor of Jon M. Huntsman Sr.
Two individuals have been selected to receive the Jon. M. Huntsman Sr. scholarship: Travis J. Vaults from Central High School and Devin Haynes from West Brook High School.
The three C. Edward Keller scholarships will be awarded Aug. 17, 2011.
Applications are available at www.bmtfoundation.com and will be accepted through Aug. 10, 2011 in the Lamar Institute of Technology Development office, located in the LIT Cecil Beeson Building, 855 East Lavaca. They may also be mailed to P.O. Box 10085, Beaumont Texas 77710.
