HOUSTON — University of Houston-Clear Lake’s School of Education Success Through Education Programs (STEP) announced three students will receive scholarships for the upcoming 2011-2012 school year. The scholarships are part of the Baytown Area Education Recruitment and Retention program (BAER2), a collaboration of Goose Creek Consolidated I.S.D., Lee College and UH-Clear Lake to create opportunities for students as they explore teaching as a profession. The scholarship recipients (pictured, l to r) are Baytown residents Joseph Bernard, Martha Pacheco and Coral Denisse DeAlba. The scholarships were made possible by an Exxon Mobil Baytown grant to UH-Clear Lake’s STEP.
