Galveston Police Chief Applicants

The City of Galveston has received 55 applications for the position of police chief, to replace Charles Wiley, who is retiring.

The list includes D.J Alavarez, Gregory Anderson, Aaron Ausmus, Rudolph Babin, Jerry Bowden, Richard Boyle, Joel Caldwell, Donald Cherry, Lonnie Cook, Jay Cooper, Joseph Costa, Don Daniel, Mark Davis, Stuart Denton, Lamar Evans, Rick Flores, Wendell Fontenot, Antonio Ford, Byron Frankland, Arnold Freeman, Troy Harrison, Eric Herrera, Richard Herrera, James Hughes, Michael Hyams, Wayne Isbell, Thomas Karlok, Timothy Kelly, Vicki King, Barry Loggins Sr., Richard Martinez, Michael McConnell Sr., Andew McLane, Robert Norris, William Ozment, Joe Peña, Ross Perez, Scott Peters, Mark Pierce, Henry Porretto, Laurens Pugh, Jeffrey Pynes, Barry Roberts, Charles Springer, John Tisdale, Erik Tolpo, James Torres, Raymond Tuttoilmondo, Tony Umbertino, Ken Walker, Gary Weiczorek , Ellwood Whitten,  Paul Williams, Ronald Wrobleski and Michael Gray.

Interim City Manager Brian Maxwell will select the new chief after the applicants’ resumes are reviewed by a panel of city officials and interviews are conducted with some of the candidates.
