The Dickinson Independent School District Board of Trustees on Monday voted unanimously to continue with the name of Raymond E. “Pop” Gillis at the district's new administration building.

The school board voted to approve an expenditure of $297,765 for the purchase of furniture for the high school expansion and renovation project.  The furniture will be purchased through bond funds.

The school board voted to accept the recommendation of the hearing officer in a Level III Grievance filed with the district.  The item was discussed during an executive session.

The school board voted to approve personnel action, including resignations, retirements and employment of new personnel.  The item was discussed during an executive session.

The school board voted to approve designated adjunct faculty status to Galveston County Extension Agents.

The school board voted to approve a resolution recognizing the extracurricular status of the 4-H organization.

All items were approved, with the exception of an executive session item to receive an update on former employee litigation.  No action was taken on the item.  All votes were unanimous with all members present.  Agenda
