(HOUSTON, TX) – Investigators with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Homicide Unit held a news conference this morning to get the public’s help in identifying the robbery suspect who shot and killed a store clerk last month in north Harris County.
On Monday, May 16, 2011 at about 3:50 a.m. the armed suspect entered a convenience store located in the 15300 block of Ella Blvd. He wore a ski mask, dark blue coveralls and gloves. The suspect confronted the clerk, 20-year-old Salvador Maya, and shot him to death. The suspect took an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing on foot. He’s described as a black male, 5’10” to 6’ tall, with a stocky build.
