HPD Hosts Moonlight Bike Ride, Family Fun Event
Beginning at 8:30 p.m. TODAY (Friday, June 10), join HPD Chief Charles A. McClelland, HPD Officers and the Houston Police Foundation for the 4th annual Houston Police Foundation Moonlight Classic Bike Ride. This two-hour recreational ride down Memorial Drive is a traffic-free course for riders of all ages.
Participants will also enjoy live entertainment and passes to enjoy the rides at the Downtown Houston Aquarium. HPD will also have displays and officers present from SWAT, Mounted Patrol, K-9, Bomb Squad, Marine Unit, Crime Scene Unit and the Air Support Division to talk and take photos with citizens.
All proceeds of the event benefit the Houston Police Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps HPD purchase specialized equipment and training that would otherwise not be available due to budgetary constraints. For more information, visit www.houstonpolicefoundation.com
