Part of Galveston’s Seawall will be Closed for the Hotel Galvez’s Fireworks Show

 

Galveston, TX – It’s not everyday that you celebrate your 100th birthday!  East and westbound traffic and parking lanes on Seawall Boulevard will be temporarily closed on Saturday, June 11, as the Hotel Galvez celebrates its centennial anniversary with an extraordinary fireworks show at 9:15 PM.  The public is encouraged to attend the free festivities and celebrate this Galveston landmark!

 

Traffic Advisory:

 

    * Beginning at 6:00 PM no parking will be allowed on Seawall Blvd. between 19th and 22nd Streets.

    * Beginning at 7:00 PM east and westbound traffic lanes on Seawall Blvd. will be closed between 19th and 23rd Streets.

    * Traffic and parking lanes on Seawall Blvd. will reopen following the conclusion of the fireworks show.

 

Drivers should use alternate routes during the temporary road closure.  Parking along side streets in the immediate vicinity will be limited.
